If one looks around in the library of Altenburg Abbey, one can see thousands of books and magnificent paintings everywhere. This year’s motto of Allegro Vivo fits into this picture perfectly: “con fantasia”. Festival Director Vahid Khadem-Missagh can be heard as conductor as well as violin soloist. The programme features music by Leoš Janáček, Béla Bartók and the world premiere of “Quasi una fantasia” by the Austrian composer Christoph Ehrenfellner.
