SLIXS turn the listening habits of the a cappella genre upside down. With their powerful and daring mix of pop and jazz, classical and world music, the 6 vocal artists inspire at concerts across Europe and Asia. They explore what the human voice is capable of and transport you to a paradise of timbres, onomatopoeia and vocal percussion. You will be amazed at their ingenuity and delighted by their subtle sense of groove.

The 6 vocal acrobats elicit a band sound from their throats and mouths that fascinates even icons of the a cappella scene. Ward Swingle, creator of the legendary Swingle Singers, announced enthusiastically during his lifetime: “Your style is unique.” Gabriel Crouch from the King’s Singers called SLIXS “better than any group (he’s) ever heard!” And before Bobby McFerrin took them on a joint tour of Europe, he praised them: “I’ve never heard these tunes so funky”.

This is one of the reasons why the sextet is regarded as one of the world’s best vocal bands today. Their artistic daring and innovative spirit have now been rewarded five times with the CARA (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award) – the world’s highest award for vocal art: Best Jazz Song of the Year 2008, Best Folk/World Song of the Year 2013, Best Classical Song of the Year 2019 and 2023 and Best Classical Album of the Year 2023. In 2006, they were already two-time audience winners at the international a cappella competition “Vokal Total” in Graz (A) and have been touring with the same line-up ever since.
