Styrian harmonica, violin, guitar and tuba – the four virtuoso musicians of MAXJOSEPH weave a dynamic and chamber-musically extremely fine web, with such elegance and lightness that one would not have expected in connection with folk music. Jazz shines through in the improvisations, classical training in the flawless interplay and the broad horizon of four cosmopolitans who are at the same time naturally rooted in their homeland.

The ensemble explores folk music in a way that breaks down clichés and gives rise to new, unusual ideas. Self-composed, light-footed and charming music that has definitely been missing not only in Bavaria, but far beyond.
