Mauro Peter devotes himself intensively to Lied. With his varied programs, which he has been working on with his musical companion Helmut Deutsch since the beginning, he has performed at the Musikverein Vienna, the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, the Cologne Philharmonie, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Verbier Festival, the Wigmore Hall in London and at the Salzburg Festival. In addition to the Musikverein Graz, Mauro Peter has a special artistic connection with the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, where the lied works of Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann are of particular importance. He has recorded two CDs for Sony Classical with Schubert’s Goethe Lieder as well as Dichterliebe and selected songs by Schumann together with Helmut Deutsch.
Mauro Peter has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with the Salzburg Festival and was a member of the Festival’s Young Singers Project in 2012 while still studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Theaterakademie August Everding.in the following years, in addition to numerous concerts and recitals, he sangFerrando in Così fan tutte in 2016, Andres in Wozzeck in 2017 and Tamino in Die Zauberflöte in 2018.his collaboration with Nikolaus Harnoncourt was of exceptional importance. His interpretations and rehearsals of Mozart’s Da Ponte cycle at the Theater an der Wien in 2014 left a lasting impression on audiences and musicians alike. Through his intensive concert activities, Mauro Peter has worked with conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Constantinos Carydis, Teodor Currentzis, Gustavo Dudamel, Ádám Fischer, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Philippe Herreweghe, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniel Hope, Vladimir Jurowski, Ton Koopman, FabioLuisi, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Minasi, Jonathan Nott, Trevor Pinnock and Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
