Since its formation in 2013, Trio Klavis has established itself as an outstanding new chamber music ensembleof unique instrumentation. With its interpretative and tonal precision, the trio lends classical masterpiecesclassical masterpieces such as the Viennese Classical period, the 2nd Viennese School, the Romantic period and the modern era.unmistakable note and timbre. The ensemble actively promotes the expansion of the repertoire for its instrumentation through commissioned works andown compositions. Its well-founded artistic work allows the trio great freedom on stage as well as itsfreedom on stage as well as its practice – unusual for classical chamber music and therefore always noticed – of playingto play from memory. The Trio Klavis has already performed at major venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Tonhalle Zurich, thePhilharmonie St. Petersburg, the Munich Gasteig and at renowned festivals such as Grafenegg, Allegro Vivoand the Kissinger Sommer in Bad Kissingen, and international tours have also taken the trio through Europe, Asia and Africa.Europe, Asia and Africa. In 2015, the trio was awarded the Start Scholarship for Music by the Austrian Federal Chancellery and the Bank Austria Art Prize.awarded the Bank Austria Art Prize. In 2016, their debut CD “Geography of Sound” was released by OrlandoRecords, a compilation of classical works with folk music influences from all over the world. The second CD is being produced with the support of the Austrian Music Fund and the Ernst Krenek Instituteand will be released with Johannes Brahms’ horn trio.
